US-based product visualisation software platform developer Threekit closed a $20m series A round on Wednesday backed by Salesforce Ventures, a corporate venturing arm of enterprise software developer Salesforce.
The round was led by venture capital firm Shasta Ventures with additional contributions from private investors Steve Young, Phil Fernandez and Godard Abel.
Founded in 2005, Threekit markets a software platform that lets goods manufacturers render 3D, interactive images of their items for display to customers perusing e-commerce channels.
The software is billed as creating photorealistic facsimiles thanks to a diverse range of material, colour and configuration options. It will use the series A funding in a bid to execute its strategy with clients internationally.
Threekit previously attracted $10m in seed round led by private investor Godard Abel in January 2019.
Matt Garratt, managing partner at Salesforce Ventures, said: “Threekit’s integration with Salesforce’s commerce cloud enables companies to seamlessly embed interactive 3D models into their websites, providing customers with unparalleled immersive commerce experiences.
“We are thrilled to invest in the Threekit team as they bring their vision for 3D visual configuration and augmented reality to companies around the world.”
