US-based cloud archiving and search company Sonian, which is backed by online retailer Amazon and technology company Webroot Software, has raised $13.6m.
The series C round was led by venture firm OpenView Venture Partners, with venture firms Summerhill Venture Partners, and Prism VentureWorks participating. Sonian has now raised $27m in its history.
Scott Maxwell, OpenView’s Founder and Senior Managing Director, has joined Sonian’s Board of Directors.
Sonian said it had had four consecutive quarters of record growth and had doubled its customer base in each of the past two years.
Amazon and Webroot Software backed Sonian $9m series B last year, although they were not mentioned as backers of the latest round.
