AccorHotels reserves a place in $17m OnePark round

Hotel chain AccorHotels has led a €15m ($17m) funding round for OnePark, the France-based operator of a car parking reservation platform, EU-Startups has reported.

The round included Keolis, a public transport operator that operates as a subsidiary of state-owned railway company SNCF, as well as airport operator Groupe ADP and private investors Christophe Courtin and James Blouzard.

Founded in 2013, OnePark provides a mobile app that enables drivers to find and book available parking spaces in railway stations, airports, business parks and hotels. It has access to more than 1,500 spaces across France, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy and Germany.

Proceeds from the round will enable the company to add more parking spaces to its roster as it seeks to build a 5,000-strong network of supporting parking lots, and support the launch of its service in Portugal.

The company’s technology is used in some 250 hotels owned by AccorHotels, which began using it in 2015, and by ADP, which oversees some 40,000 parking spaces across its airports.

Keolis had previously invested $14.1m in OnePark In November 2017, having also provided $2.8m in funding a year earlier.
