Life insurance group AIA and printing technology manufacturer Konica Minolta jointly launched a Singapore-based accelerator on Monday that will invest in digital health technology startups.
Konica Minolta Digital Health Accelerator will operate a 12-week program run by incubator Nest, which will target companies enabling users to better manage and improve their health through diagnostics and treatment driven by sensor, data and imaging technology.
Yuji Ichimura, executive officer at Konica Minolta, said: “Konica Minolta has long embraced open innovation, and combined our expertise to create cutting-edge medical field products for more than 30 years now.
“This accelerator program is another open innovation step to reach out to promising startups and Konica Minolta will make available R&D assets, and go-to-market channels to accelerate their entry into the digital health space.”
