Airbus Ventures, the CVC arm of French aerospace multinational Airbus, has announced a $155m fund targeting deep tech and spacetech startups.
Fund-Y and is Airbus Ventures’s fourth fund. The US-based CVC was founded in 2015 and has $465m in assets under management and more than 55 portfolio companies across a range of sectors including autonomous vehicles, advanced materials, next-generation computing and decarbonisation technologies.
In July 2023, the CVC took part in the $45m funding round for Impulse Space, a company that develops in-space transportation vehicles which can tow satellites between orbits. In April, it was the lead investor in the $22m series B funding round for Oros Labs, which develops thermal technology for spacecraft.
Airbus Ventures’s managing partner Thomas d’Halluin featured on GCV’s 2024 Powerlist in June.
