Jennifer Al-Rashid has joined Evonik Venture Capital, the corporate venture arm of Essen-based specialty chemicals company Evonik Industries.
After serving less than a year as the head of product development, RD&I, interface, and performance, Al-Rashid has transitioned into the corporate venturing world where she will now serve as the investment manager at Evonik’s venture firm.
Al-Rashid began her stint at Evonik in 2018 as the director of global process research, a position she held for four years. Before that she was a senior scientist for two years at DSM Biomedical.
Al-Rashid started her career with eight years at US-based chemical manufacturing corporation Air Products, where she held positions including principal research scientist in polyurethanes technology and process research and development scientist for performance materials.
Evonik Venture Capital was founded in 2012. The firm invests in innovative technologies in additive manufacturing, advanced food ingredients, cosmetic solutions and healthcare solutions sectors.
Evonik Venture Capital has invested in over 50 companies including Allay Therapeutics. Storhm and Laxxon Medical.
