Internet group Tencent has led a RMB100m ($15m) series B round for China-based cloud computing services provider Alauda, Dostor has reported.
The round also featured investment firms Banyan Capital and China Broadband Capital (CBC) along with undisclosed additional investors.
Founded in 2014, Alauda has built a cloud computing platform for enterprise customers in sectors such as financial services, manufacturing, energy, automotive and aviation. In addition to investing in the company, Tencent will collaborate with it in order to expand the IT services market.
The round followed $2m in pre-series A funding from Banyan Capital and a $10m series A round featuring Banyan and CBC, according to Doktor.
