China-based bus tracking app developer Chelaile has closed a $15m series B round featuring e-commerce company Alibaba, China Money Network reported today.
The round was led by private equity firm China Broadband Capital, and follows a $5m series A round raised in September 2014. The company’s series A investors were not disclosed at the time, but according to China Money Network Alibaba was a participant.
Founded in 2013, Chelaile’s app tracks buses operating in almost 30 cities across China in real time, utilising global positioning data provided through government initiatives. It previously received seed funding from Shunwei Capital and Zhen Fund.
