American Express-backed Radius Intelligence, a US provider of a data technology company platform for B2B marketers to find customers, raised $13m in a series C funding led by Formation8 Partners. Existing investors BlueRun Ventures and CEO and co-founder Darian Shirazi (pictured) also participated in this latest round. In conjunction with the funding, Formation8 Founding Partner Joe Lonsdale will join Radius’s board of directors.
Radius provides marketers with tools to segment and identify ideal SMB customers from amongst 27 million US business records. Its endeavour is to be a serious competitive contender for Dun & Bradstreet.
The series B round brings the company’s total funding to date to $28.2m. The company has publicly announced three rounds of funding: $2.75m (Seed; BlueRun Ventures); $6.75m (Series A; American Express, Western Technology Investment, BlueRun Ventures, Stanford University, Comcast Ventures): and the latest series B $13m round.
The company will allocate the new capital to hire people for its data and technology team, collaborate with more sources and to build out its sales operations.
