Amplero markets $17.5m series B

Amplero, a US-based customer engagement technology developer backed by enterprise software producer Salesforce, closed a $17.5m series B round on Tuesday co-led by Greycroft and Ignition Partners.

Additional investors in the round included Wildcat Venture Partners, Seven Peaks Ventures, and Trilogy Equity Partners, the venture capital partnership formed by big data analytics company Globys and investment firm Trilogy Equity Partnership

Amplero, spun out from Globys in early 2016, operates a marketing platform that relies on artificial intelligence to automatically optimise interactions with consumers to foster brand loyalty.

Clients include mobile telecoms firm Sprint and Virgin Mobile as well as Xbox, the games console of software developer Microsoft. The money will be used to scale business and technology infrastructure.

Amplero has now raised $25.5m in total funding. Salesforce Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of Salesforce, participated in an $8m series A round in July 2016 led by Wildcat Venture Partners.

The series A round also featured Globys/Trilogy Equity Partners and Seven Peaks Ventures.
