Amundi Private Equity Funds, the alternatives investment unit of French banks Crédit Agricole and Société Générale, has led a €9m ($12m) series C round in Wyplay, a local provider of high-definition multimedia devices.
The other investors were venture capital firms A Plus Finance, Elaia Partners and Sofinnova Partners.
Wyplay develops products for high-definition televisions, as well as media centres and internet-protocol television boxes. It previously raised €10m in May 2008 from the three VC firms having closed its first round in October 2006 at €4m from Sofinnova.
