‘Ananth’ G Ananthasubramaniam has stepped down as vice president of DTE Energy Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of US-based utility DTE Energy, to launch a stealth startup called AerLinx.
Ananthasubramaniam departed after joining the firm in 1995. While at DTE Energy Ventures, he led the unit’s alternative energy investments. During his tenure, the unit invested over $100m in areas of clean energy including fuel cells, waste-to-energy, and energy monitoring and efficiency.
Prior to joining DTE, Ananathasubramaniam was a management consultant at EDS Management Consultancy and chief executive of NESC, a company that produced kits that converted forklifts to run on compressed natural gas.
