Michael Anness has been hired as director of fuel innovation at US-based Westinghouse Electric Company after three years at management consultancy Disciplined Growth & Innovation Group.
The move follows increased interest in climate change. Energy-focused private equity (PE) firm Riverstone has backed early-stage investor Blackhorn Ventures.
The deal was one of only three reported instances in the last two years in which a PE firm has taken a minority stake in a VC firm, according to PitchBook data.
