US-based video syndication exchange Vidible has been acquired by US-based internet media company AOL for $50m, providing an exit to publishing company International Data Group (IDG), Recode reported on Monday.
Vidible raised $3.4m in a series A round in January 2014, led by venture capital firm Greycroft Partners that also included IDG Ventures, a corporate venturing affiliate of IDG.
Vidible offers video content owners an automated system to sell their content to website owners to display on their pages. The company has attracted 150 publishers, and its videos have been viewed a total of more than two billion times.
