US-based mobile application marketplace company AppDirect has raised $8.5m in its series A round from a consortium including music and entertainment applications company Stingray Digital Group.
Venture capital (VC) firm iNovia Capital led the investment and also led AppDirect’s $3.25m seed round last year.
AppDirect’s Business Application Network lets businesses receive one bill for all their application purchases.
The company said it would hire another 50 employees before the end of the year and open an office in Europe next year.
