US-based Burstly creates apps and systems to help developers test and monitise their own smartphone apps. Their current suite of applications comprises TestFlight, FlightPath and SkyRocket.
The terms of the Apple acquisition have not been released at this time. However total disclosed funding for Burstly comes to $7.3m, generated from two rounds of funding.
Investors in Burstly include Upfront Ventures (previously GRP Partners), Rincon Venture Partners, Alex Karelin and SoftBank Capital, all of whom focus on early stage investment for technological companies.
No one from Apple or Burstly has commented on the acquisition.
