AproPlan, a Belgium-based construction industry services provider, has raised €5m ($5.6m) in a series A round featuring property developer Matexi and Inventures, a subsidiary of association management and services company SmithBucklin.
US-based Inventures and locally-headquartered Matexi were joined by venture capital firm Fortino Capital, which led the round, and the co-founders of sales enablement platform Showpad: Pieterjan Bouten, Louis Jonckheere and Peter Minne.
AproPlan has created a software platform that enables construction workers to manage their jobs and communications more effectively.
The company, launched in 2012 by Paul de Gheldere, Renauld Lacroix, Frédéric Salvé, Jean-Philippe Cardoso and Thomas Goubau, will use the funding for sales and marketing, and to improve on-site experience of its application.
