US-based visual analytics software developer Arcadia Data has secured $15m in a series B round featuring Intel Capital, the corporate venturing arm of semiconductor manufacturer Intel Capital.
The round was led by venture capital firm Pelion Venture Partners, with commitments from Mayfield Fund and Blumberg Capital.
Founded in 2012, Arcadia Data has created an analytics software package that collates information from disparate datasets to be published in graphs or other visual formats.
The product is designed to help enterprises streamline intelligence gathering with features including a search engine and a drag-and-drop interface which integrates with open-source software platforms.
Arcadia will use the series B cash to facilitate a global expansion of its operations, as well as product innovation and other go-to-market strategies.
The company has now raised a total of $27m in funding, after receiving $11.5m in a Mayfield-led series A round in 2015 that included Intel Capital and Blumberg Capital.
Sushil Thomas, chief executive and co-founder of Arcadia Data, said: “Our impressive growth is not only a testament to the work we have done, but it is also a sign of growing demand for products like those Arcadia Data offers to bridge the gap between business users getting insights and value from big data.”
