Arrayent, a US-based technology company which provides a software platform that lets manufacturers and retailers connect their products to the internet, is reported in Gigaom to have raised $11.9m funding from Intel Capital, the corporate venturing unit of semiconductor chip maker Intel, and venture capital firms DCM and Opus Capital, bringing the company’s total funding so far to $14.6m.
Arrayent was founded in 2007 by Shane Dyer, a Stanford grad and computer systems engineer who “dreamed of a platform that could serve as the backbone for the Internet of Things.”
