Asahi Net fills Fuller with $1.2m

Japanese internet service provider Asahi Net and venture capital firm M8 Capital has led a JPY100m ($1.2m) round of seed financing for Japan-based start-up Fuller, a mobile software development company.

The new funding will be used to invest in software development. Currently Fuller is focusing heavily on phone optimization technology and will launch their first android application outside of Japan in 2013.

Joseph Kim, general partner at M8 Capital, said: “Fuller is straight out of the movie, The Social Network.  But instead of Palo Alto, it’s Tsukuba.  The team at Fuller is working to make apps that enhance the smartphone experience.  We’re excited to be part of their exciting efforts.”
