Assemble Systems constructs $12m series A

Design software producer Autodesk’s corporate venturing vehicle, Autodesk Forge Fund, has led a $12m series A round for US-based construction software developer Assemble Systems.

The round also featured Satterfield Vintage Investments, an investment vehicle for Thomas A. Satterfield, Jr, the co-founder of construction firm Satterfield & Pontikes, and Assemble Investments. Both were described by Assemble Systems as existing investors.

Assemble Systems develops software for construction professionals, and its flagship product, Assemble Insight, is a cloud-based platform that analyses data from building information modelling (BIM) in order to provide actionable insights into projects.

Following the series A round, Assemble Systems and Autodesk plan to work together to further develop their construction-focused products, and plan to integrate Assemble’s offering into the Autodesk BIM 360 platform.

Don Henrich, CEO of Assemble Systems said: “As the leader in BIM, Autodesk is in tune with our strategy of using 3D data to improve project quality and connect construction workflows to reuse data throughout the project.

“We are thrilled to have this partnership so we can work together to drive change in the construction industry.”
