Assembled calls in series A funding

US-based customer support software developer Assembled has raised $16.6m in a series A round featuring digital payment technology provider Stripe, TechCrunch has reported.

Venture capital firm Emergence Capital led the round, which included Basis Set Ventures and Felicis Ventures. The company emerged from stealth in March 2020 with a $3.1m seed round led by Stripe and backed by Basis Set Ventures, Signalfire and unspecified angel investors.

Assembled provides workforce management software for the customer support divisions of companies in areas such as e-commerce and financial services.

The platform enables businesses to automatically predict the volume of incoming customer support requests, schedule staff activities and analyse real-time data across support channels including phone, email and online chat.

The platform can also integrate with enterprise software products from vendors including Salesforce, Intercom and Zendesk. Assembled plans to use the capital injection to recruit staff, further develop its platform and bolster customer acquisition activities.
