Auth0 verfies $30m series C

US-based identity verification software provider Auth0 secured $30m on Tuesday in a series C round that included NTT Docomo Ventures and Telstra Ventures, respective subsidiaries of telecommunications companies NTT Docomo and Telstra.

The round was led by venture capital firm Meritech Capital Partners, which will put a representative on Auth0’s board of directors, and also featured Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP), Trinity Ventures and K9 Ventures.

Auth0 has developed a software platform that allows enterprises to more easily secure their web, mobile, internet-of-things and internal applications, and manage identity verification for their staff, customers and partners.

Proceeds from the round, which took Auth0’s total funding to $54m, will be used to support geographical growth and hiring as the company aims to increase its subscriber base.

BVP, K9 Ventures, Portland Seed Fund and NXTP Labs contributed to the $9.3m series A round Auth0 closed in 2015, before Trinity Ventures led a $15m series B in September 2016 that included BVP, K9 and Silicon Valley Bank.
