Award winners step up to greater roles

Stars in Space

In the GCV Emerging Leaders choice we have seen the promotion of Blake Luse to head Ferguson Ventures following the inspiring nomination from Kevin Barnes, who has moved up.

In addition, Rashmi Gopinath has moved from Microsoft’s M12 corporate venturing unit to Boston Consulting Group-backed venture capital firm B Capital.

Word is also out that we could expect to see changes for Brazil-based Daniel Malandrin from Inovabra Ventures to another corporate venturing unit, Semantix Ventures, while Pratima Aiyagari has left Cisco’s investing and corporate development unit in Europe for a VC firm (we can expect more in her talk at the GCV Symposium in London on 3-4 June).

And in the GCV Powerlist, Rajesh Swaminathan has moved from Applied Ventures, Applied Materials’ corporate venturing unit, to VC firm Khosla Ventures with Anand Kamannavar joining as head of the unit and Applied’s chief technology officer, Omkaram Nalamasu, a new member in the GCV Leadership Society advisory board.

Congratulations to all for the new roles and it is a signal how corporate venturing’s career paths have never looked brighter.
