E-commerce and cloud computing group Amazon has acquired US-based meeting services provider Do through its Amazon Web Services (AWS) subsidiary, allowing cloud computing firm Salesforce.com to exit, TechCrunch has reported.
Founded in 2013, Do had built an online platform that could function as a repository for meeting information including notes, presentations and documents. It will be rolled into Amazon Chime, the recently launched business communication branch of AWS.
The company had raised about $2m from Salesforce, New Enterprise Associates, Slow Ventures, Queensbridge Venture Partners, SherpaVentures and angel investors including Mark Pincus, Aayush Phumbhra and Jim Patterson as of March 2015. It has not revealed the purchase price.
