US-based online recruitment service Phenom People has raised $22m in its series B round from a consortium led by Axa Venture Partners, the corporate venturing unit of insurance provider Axa.
Venture capital firms Sierra Ventures, Sigma Prime Ventures and Omidyar Ventures also invested in the series B round.
Phenom People operates a platform, called Phenom People Talent Relationship Marketing, that uses artificial intelligence technology to create personalised digital experiences aimed at engaging candidates. Its customers include software developer Microsoft and retailer Kohl’s.
The funding will use the cash for strategic growth initiatives, including accelerating product innovation and global sales expansion of its platform.
Sigma Prime previously injected $1.6m in the company in 2016, after Sierra Ventures led a $6m funding round in 2015.
Alex Scherbakovsky, general partner at Axa Venture Partners, said: “Phenom People has built a market-leading technology platform that enables companies to win the war for talent. We are excited to partner with Mahe and his team to scale the company globally.”
