Babyscripts signs up investors for $5.7m round

Babyscripts, the US-based creator of a virtual obstetrics care platform, has secured $5.7m in a round that included pharmaceuticals producer Chemo Group and non-profit care provider Aurora Health Care.

The round was led by venture capital firm Ysios Capital and included CG Health Ventures and P5 Health Ventures, while Aurora participated through its Aurora Health Care Ventures subsidiary.

Babyscripts has developed an online platform that uses a range of mobile apps that pregnant women can use to inform decision making, and that physicians can use to remotely monitor the condition of patients, along with population health tools that give care providers patient data in real time.

The company had previously raised approximately $1.9m from 1776, Kensington Capital Partners, Ense Group, K-Street Capital and various angel investors, across rounds in 2013 and 2015.
