UK-based financial services firm Barclays has picked 10 companies for New York Barclays Accelerator, the accelerator it runs in partnership with Techstars.
The companies include automated text-based task software developer Applica, artificial intelligence-equipped workplace diversity analysis platform FairFrame, bank fee negotiation startup Harvest, financial integration platform HoneyFi and Fintros, a financial industry recruitment platform.
Financial wellness app developer Pluto Money, digital investment marketplace operator ResonanceX, blockchain remittance provider SendFriend, digital insurance provider Waffle Insurance and Vector, a developer of AI technology for traders, made up the cohort.
Mariquit Corcoran, director of partnerships and programs for Barclays, said: “With 13 completed programs, the Barclays Accelerator, powered by Techstars, is presently one of the largest single-bank-powered portfolios globally, with more than 130 companies currently valued at over $650m.”
