Beekeeper, a US-based mobile-first communications platform for employees without a corporate email address, has raised $8m in its expanded series A round from a consortium including Swisscom Ventures, the corporate venturing subsidiary of telecommunications firm Swisscom.
Other investors in the A round, which was led by Keen Venture Partners, included Fyrfly Venture Partners, Polytech Ecosystem Ventures, b-to-v Partners and Investiere.ch and angel investors, such as Niklas Zennström, Skype co-founder and founding partner at Atomico, Ariel Lüdi, former CEO of Hybris (sold to SAP), and Niklas Ostberg, co-founder and CEO of Delivery Hero.
The round had first closed at $5m in 2016 but expanded with Swisscom Ventures among those joining. The company has now reportedly raised SFr26m ($24m) in total.
