China-headquartered online childcare content provider Beibeili has attracted RMB70m ($10.6m) in a series A round featuring BCG Digital Ventures, the investment vehicle backed by consulting firm Boston Consulting Group, KrAsia has reported.
The round included University of Tokyo’s Innovation Platform and unnamed members of Beibeili’s founding team.
Beibeili offers advice on infant care across various social media and instant messaging platforms, in addition to providing media and brand consulting services to third parties. It has an outpost in Tokyo but most of its operations are located in the Chinese city of Shanghai.
BCG Digital Ventures had previously joined household product maker Unicharm to invest in the company at an undisclosed date, according to KrAsia, which did not specify an amount.
