Benu Networks connects with two

Benu Networks, a US-based cable network equipment supplier is reportedly gaining seed money from a consortium including at least two corporate venturing units.

News provider Light Reading Cable said Comcast Interactive Capital and Motorola Mobility Ventures were the two strategic investors, alongside venture capital firm Spark Capital Partners.

Light Reading Cable said Benu’s Converged Multiservice Access Platform would be suitable for a Motorola acquisition and two of the founders, Dave Callan and Michael Brown had worked at Motorola and one of its previous acquisitions, RiverDelta Networks (its product pictured) for $300m in 2001.
