BlackBerry Partners Fund, a corporate venturing fund backed by phone maker Research In Motion, has led a $2m seed investment in Canada-based online games publisher Fuse Powered, which publishes games such as Swarm (pictured).
NFQ Ventures also participated in the financing.
Marc Faucher, a partner at BlackBerry Partners Fund, said: "Fuse brings a unique, analytics-driven approach to the mobile gaming publishing space that optimizes both game discovery and monetization."
In 2009, the Blackberry fund invested $250,000 in SocialDeck, a year before the social gaming company was purchased by search engine Google for an undisclosed amount.
