The corporate venturing BlackBerry Partners Fund has backed Viewdle, a US-based visual recognition software company.
John Albright, co-managing partner BlackBerry Partners Fund, which is backed by Research In Motion, Thomson Reuters and Royal Bank of Canada, said it had backed Viewdle’s series B round along with other strategic investors, according to news provider Beet.TV in its exclusive interview.
Viewdle started in 2007 and will launch visual recognition for videos on mobile devices and desktop computers next year, Beet.TV said. Anthem Venture Partners provided its series A round.
