Bonds.com Group, an alternative trading system for fixed income formerly known as IPORussia, has raised two-thirds of its planned $15m round.
Bonds.com has raised $10m from five investors, according to a regulatory filing.
News provider Advanced Trading said venture capital firm Oak Investment Partners and financial services firm GFI Group had invested $6.5m in Bonds.com.
Bonds.com previously received an investment from investment bank UBS, and additional capital from angel investors, bringing the total in financing to $10m, Advanced Trading added.
GFI Group has added Bonds.com to its portfolio of investments in a range of electronic trading, software analysis and market data providers and its executive chairman Michael Gooch said: "We see Bonds.com as a compelling execution model for fixed income products."
Bonds.com has also bought substantially all of the assets of Beacon Capital Strategies, which had developed an electronic trading platform for execution of mortgage and asset backed fixed income instruments.
