Online trading platform Bonds.com secured $16.6m on Tuesday in a series E round financed by trading software company GFINet, as well as Mida Holdings, Oak Investment Partners and Michael Daher, chairman of Daher Bonds Investment Company.
The financing follows a series D round which closed in June, having raised $12.4m. Financial services corporation UBS Americas funded the round, along with securities and banking group Jeffries & Company, GFINet and Oak Investment.
Bonds.com operates a centralised, web-based platform for electronic fixed income trading in the bond market. The latest round of investment will be used to expand the company’s coverage into the Middle East and North Africa from its base of North America, Latin America and Europe.
In conjunction with the funding, Michel Daher and Henri J. Chaoul have been named to the board of the Bonds.com Group.
