Bosch powers up Epigan

The corporate venturing arm of technology firm Bosch has joined in a €4m ($5m) fundraising by Belgium-based clean tech company Epigan, a spin-off from local research institute Imec.

Robert Bosch Venture Capital (RBVC) participated in Epigan`s funding round alongside Benelux venture capital firms Capricorn Cleantech Fund and LRM.

Epigan specialises in products related to Gallium Nitride on silicon, which is used in clean energy generation. Epigan aims to enhance power management efficiency, develop renewable energy sources, and create cleaner transportation technologies, the company said.

Gadi Toren, venture capital investment partner at RBVC and who is joining the portfolio company’s board, said: "This technology has the potential to make significant contributions to the world of power conversion and are happy to be part of the investor syndicate supporting the company."
