Bosch snaps up free Wheeler

Nicholas Wheeler has left supply chain services provider Flextronics to join Robert Bosch Venture Capital, the corporate venturing unit of industrial product maker Robert Bosch, as a director.

Wheeler is situated in Germany-based Bosch’s San Francisco office and will make early stage investments in companies developing sensors, automation, energy and environment, healthcare and telemedicine, new materials and enabling technologies.

Prior to joining Bosch, Wheeler was a principal at Lab IX, a seed fund subsidiary of Flextronics, for four months, after a year-long stint as its director of business transformation and the manager of its investment team.

Wheeler has also worked at tools producer Stanley Black and Decker, venture capital firm Skyview Capital and aerospace components manufacturer Cherry Aerospace.
