Busy Burr, chief innovation officer for US-based health insurance provider Humana and head of its Humana Health Ventures investment subsidiary, has departed after three years.
Burr stepped down from her board observer positions at Livongo, Aspire Health and Omada Health, portfolio companies for Humana Health Ventures, in September this year.
It is understood the portfolio has moved across to the corporate development and mergers and acquisitions team, with a potential flotation of Livongo rumoured for next year and opportunities for a trade sale for Aspire.
Burr’s LinkedIn profile said she had led the enterprise-wide innovation strategy and design-led efforts to build new customer-centric platforms, businesses, products and solutions, and was founding partner of Humana Health Ventures.
Prior to joining Humana, Burr had been managing director at Citi Ventures, the venture capital arm of financial services firm Citi, as well as global head of disruptive innovation at the bank for four years until 2015.
