LifeImage, the US-based creator of a platform to exchange medical images, has completed a $17m funding round led by health services provider Cambia Health Solutions.
Cardinal Partners, Galen Partners, Long River Ventures, Mass Ventures and Partners Innovation Fund, all existing investors in LifeImage, also took part in the round.
LifeImage oversees a medical image exchange network covering 120 multi-site health systems, facilitating the sharing of imaging data between hospitals, radiology groups, physicians and patients.
The company has now raised about $85m since it was founded in 2008. It will use the latest funding to scale its operations in order to meet continuing customer demand and to expand its network capabilities, while also executing the next stage of its go-to-market strategy.
