US-based car parking service Luxe Valet has raised $5.5m in seed funding from investors including Google Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of internet company Google, VentureBeat has reported.
Other seed investors include Sherpa Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Upfront Ventures, Foundation Capital, BoxGroup, Slow Ventures, Data Collective, Eniac Ventures and Rothenberg Ventures.
Users of San Francisco-based Luxe’s app can tell one of the company’s trained valets where they are set to arrive. The valet then meets the user there and parks their car in one of Luxe’s secured parking lots, where it can also be washed or filled up with petrol.
Curtis Lee, chief executive of Luxe, said on the company’s blog: “We’re at the very beginning of a new adventure in transforming parking from a necessary nightmare to a delightful part of city life, and we can’t wait to help more people get to the good part of their days faster – and of course bring Luxe’s on demand parking service to more cities.”
