Care.com, a US-based online marketplace for housekeeping and care services, including child care, senior care and pet care, began trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on 24 January, with a market capitalisation of $723m. Previous investors in Care.com include insurer USAA, which led the company’s series D financing with a $19.8m investment.
Care.com’s shares were priced at $17, to raise $91m, and closed 43% up at $24.30 on the first day of trading.
Morgan Stanley, BofA Merrill Lynch, and J.P. Morgan served as joint book-running managers for the proposed offering. Allen & Company LLC and Stifel will act as senior co-managers for the proposed offering.
