US-based preventive healthcare practice Catapult Health has closed a $10m series B round featuring care provider UCHealth.
The round included Catapult vice-chairman Deborah Michel, CEO David Michel and chief technology officer Jeffrey O. Smith, as well as Health Enterprise Partners, a private equity firm Catapult said contributed to its $8.5m series A round in February 2015.
Founded in 2010, Catapult provides affordable 30-minute preventative healthcare check-ups in the workplace that include diagnostic blood work, medical history, a tailored Personal Health Report and a private video consultation.
UCHealth, which operates seven hospitals and more than 100 clinics, will help Catapult launch its service in its care system in 2017.
Bill Neff, UCHealth chief medical officer, said: “UCHealth’s community wellness strategy is focused on working with employers and payers to keep people healthy in addition to caring for them when they have health concerns.
“Catapult’s concentration on preventive medicine and check-ups delivered at worksites allows employers to reduce employee health risks and more effectively manage chronic disease.”
Prior to closing its series A round last year, the company had received $4.1m in funding between 2011 and 2013 according to regulatory filings.
