Cehoval to direct Intel Capital’s Russian investments

Kirill Cehoval has joined Intel Capital, the corporate venturing arm of chipmaker Intel, as its investment director for Russia and CIS.

Cehoval came to Intel Capital from Luxembourg-based investment fund Altera Capital, where he was vice president.

Prior to joining Altera in 2011, Cehoval was an investment officer for Alfa Capital Partners, a $700m private equity fund investing in companies in Russia and CIS, before taking a position as an associate at financial services firm Credit Suisse for almost two years.

In his new role Cehoval will work alongside Maxim Krasnykh, Intel Capital’s director for Russia and CIS, to locate new investment opportunities while managing the unit’s portfolio in the region.

Marcin Hejka, Intel Capital’s managing director for Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia, said: “Kirill combines private equity and corporate finance skills with an extensive knowledge of the Russian telecommunications industry, media market and consumer industries.

“We hope his appointment will expand Intel Capital’s support of entrepreneurship and investment in the region.”
