US-based identity management company Centrify has closed a $42m series E round from investors including Samsung, Docomo and Fortinet.
Samsung Ventures, the investment arm of electronics group Samsung, and Docomo Capital, the corporate venturing unit of Japan-based phone operator NTT, were joined in the round by network security appliance developer Fortinet.
Centrify provides a secure single sign-on security system that works across all environments, including mobile and in the cloud.
The latest round brings Centrify’s total funding to $94m, with Accel Partners, Invesco Private Capital and Mayfield Fund also among Centrify’s existing investors.
Tom Kemp, chief executive of Centrify, said: “With this funding and new talent, I’m confident that we will continue to innovate and find ways to disrupt the industry given our unique ability to address identity across cloud, mobile and the data centre.
“As key partners like Samsung, Fortinet, and NTT Docomo validate our unified approach, the future is increasingly bright for the identity market, and even brighter for Centrify.”
