China-based mobile healthcare company Chunyu Yisheng has raised $50m in a series C round that included industrial group Dunan Holding, Sina Tech reported on Tuesday.
The round also included financial services firm China International Capital Corporation, Singaporean state-owned investment firm Temasek and venture capital firm BlueRun Ventures.
Chunyu, which has 30 million active users, is a free healthcare consultation app that allows users to submit symptoms and questions to doctors.
The funding will be used to recruit more doctors for consolations, with a target of bringing the total physicians working with Chunyu to 200,000.
The company previously received an undisclosed amount in series B funding in May 2013 from Bertelsmann Asia Investment Fund, the Asia-focused corporate venturing fund of media group Bertelsmann, and $3m in series A funding in 2011 from BlueRun.
