US-based fabless semiconductor producer EnVerv has completed a $15.4m series C round featuring computing company Cisco and semiconductor foundry UMC.
Cisco and UMC Capital, the corporate venturing subsidiary of Taiwan-based UMC, invested alongside Cassiopeia Capital Partners and existing investors Benchmark Capital, NEA and Walden International.
“We are very glad to have raised this sizable round of investment,” said Michael Raam, EnVerv’s CEO. “This round further underscores our dedication to providing high-performance [system-on-chip] solutions to our customers. We intend to utilise this capital to support the production ramps, expand our customer base, and also continue the development of new product families in wired and wireless communications as well as metering market segments.”
EnVerv has now raised $33.4m in funding since it was formed under the name of Pervasive in 2009.
