ClassPass, a US-based subscription service for fitness classes, has raised $30m in a series C round featuring Google Ventures, the corporate venturing subsidiary of conglomerate Alphabet, VentureBeat reported yesterday.
Details of the round, which has not been confirmed by ClassPass, were provded by an undisclosed source familiar with the matter.
ClassPass enables people to attend unlimited fitness, yoga and dance classes at participating gyms and studios for a flat monthly fee.
The company secured $40m in a January 2015 series B round co-led by General Catalyst and Thrive Capital, with participation from unnamed existing investors.
Assorted angel investors provided $12m in series A capital for ClassPass in September 2014, after SV Angel and individual investors injected $2m in a March 2014 seed round.
