Classy, the US-based developer of a fundraising platform for social enterprises, completed a $30m series C round yesterday featuring Salesforce Ventures, the corporate venturing subsidiary of enterprise software provider Salesforce.com.
Growth equity firm JMI Equity led the round, which included Bullpen Capital, Galileo Partners and Mithril Capital Management.
Classy launched its social fundraising platform in 2011 and has since assisted some 2,500 social enterprises including Oxfam and National Geographic.
The company will use the series C capital to grow its engineering and design teams as it seeks to boost its international fundraising capabilities, enhance recurring donation streams, automate additional fundraising tasks and further integrate with the Salesforce platform.
The round comes after Classy raised $18m in a July 2015 round led by Mithril Capital Management and backed by Salesforce Ventures, Bullpen Capital, Venture51, Galileo Partners and Rethink Impact, a subsidiary of venture capital firm Rethink Education.
