ClearCare, a US-based software-as-a-service provider for elderly care homes, has closed a $11m series B round featuring Qualcomm Ventures, the venture capital arm of communications company Qualcomm, and Cambia Health Solutions, a non-profit health solutions company.
Other investors in the round included investment firms Bessemer Venture Partners, Voyager Capital and Harbor Pacific Capital, and financial services firm City National Bank. The company will use the funds for product development.
ClearCare previously received $4.5m in series A funding from Qualcomm, Harbor Pacific and Voyager Capital in October 2012.
Geoff Nudd, chief executive of ClearCare, said: “Home care is the lowest-cost institutional provider of care serving the highest-cost patient population. We believe that the home care industry has a tremendous role in solving the healthcare challenges of our time.
“As the leading web-based technology platform for home care agencies, ClearCare’s new partnerships with Bessemer and Cambia will help us support the home care industry in meeting this opportunity.”
