Cliqr makes noise with $20m series C

Cliqr, a US-based provider of cloud migration and management services, raised $20m on Tuesday in a series C round featuring internet company Google’s corporate venturing unit Google Ventures.

The round was led by venture capital firm Polaris Partners and also included Foundation Capital and TransLink Capital.

Google Ventures and Foundation previously combined to fund an $8m combined seed and series A round in 2012. Cliqr subsequently raised more than $10m in series B funding, reportedly from Google, Foundation and TransLink.

Cliqr’s technology enables companies to migrate, govern and manage applications and users in the cloud. Its clients include healthcare, manufacturing and technology businesses.

The company will use the series C funding to increase its market share globally.
